Applications
Used in the Glass, Detergent, Paper, Textile and Chemical industries. Also used as a washing powder by laundries.
Properties
White powder. Soda Ash is hygroscopic in nature leading to weathering. Once weathered, it will have high amount of moisture and sodium bicarbonate, though it does not change the total alkali content. Soda ash becomes lumpy when in contact with moisture.
